The Electronic Commerce Branch works in close collaboration with private sector partners, academic researchers and Statistics Canada, among others, to better understand the economic, business and social impact of the digital economy.

National Statistics
Statistics on information communication technologies (ICT) adoption and use measure Canada's progress in becoming a fully integrated digital economy and their impact on Canadian companies, individuals and governments. This section includes Statistics Canada metrics and fast facts related to the digital economy.

International Statistics and Benchmarking
The globally integrated digital economy will continue to grow and in order to measure Canada's success, we must be able to benchmark our progress against the progress of other nations.
